Hello.
I thought it would be fun to try and make a bear using Papermilldirect card. I just added some stitching and it was pretty simple to make.
You will need the following craft making supplies:
- China White Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm
- White Card Super Smooth 250gsm
- Fleck Kraft Card 250gsm
- Nude Sirio Colour Card 290gsm
- Bianco Artico Nettuno Linen Effect Card 280gsm
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
You will also need:
- Black Pen
- Flower Die
- Pink Pigment Ink
- Needle and Thread
- You Are Perfect Stamp
- Nuvo Drops
For the card base I trimmed down a piece of China White Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm to 4 1/8" and scored in half at 5 7/8".
I then trimmed down a smaller panel of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and adhered this to my card blank using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
To make the bear I used a piece of Fleck Kraft Card 250gsm and drew the head, body and ears. I trimmed these out and using a black pen I added some eyes and a smile. I then added some pink pigment ink to add cheeks. I then cut out some pink ears using Nude Sirio Colour Card 290gsm and stuck these onto the bigger ears using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then hand stitched around the edges but feel free to use a sewing machine if you have one. I then adhered the bear to the card with some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
I wanted to add a flower so I die cut one using some Bianco Artico Nettuno Linen Effect Card 280gsm and adhered this to the bear.
To finish off the card I stamped and die cut the greeting onto some White Card Super Smooth 250gsm and adhered this to the card. I then added some nuvo drops.
I hope this inspires you to try making your own animals using Papermilldirect's card.
