New baby cards are so fun to make, and this one was no exception! To make it I used:

I tend to pull more colours than I end up using on my cards, but I have a good rummage through my scrap pile for the them of the colours I want to use, and play with the ones that work well together in the end.

I cut down the panel of Tintoretto Cubeba card and used a corner punch to decorate it a bit more. I love the texture of this card. It gives a really luxurious feel. I wanted to add a little more texture to it, so I took a script stamp and used a very pale ink to give a tone-on-tone ink stamped effect.

I mounted this panel onto the Watermelon Pink card to make it really pop out, and added onto the plain white card base.

I created some baby building blocks by cutting the Pastel Pink card into 1 inch by 1 inch squares. I then placed these onto the Pink Striped card and added a millimetre border (mixing measurements I know, I apologise, I am of the generation who went to school in both types, so interchange based on what is easier on the ruler!). I cut out the slightly larger Pink Striped squares and added the Pastel Pink squares on top of them. I die cut my letters from Hammered White card and my little building blocks were done!

I die-cut a little teddy bear from the Kraft and the Mocha card and swapped out the features to give more dimension to the die cut. This had the added bonus of giving me two little teddys to use, one for this project, and one for a future project!

I put this all together, along with a sentiment banner made with the Hammered White card and Striped Pink, and the card was done!

The little teddy sitting on the stacked blocks is super cute, I love the retro feel of it!
