Hi All,
Nicole here to show you how to create a fun valentines card using embossing powder resist and watercolour paints. The Craft and Card Supplies you will need are:
- Papermilldirect White card
- Watercolour Paints - I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi
- Heart Stamps -I Used Some From A Selection Of Sets
- Foam Tape
- Vellum
- Stickles
- Gold Thread
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Heat Gun
First I stamped hearts all over the white panel of card I cut down to 14.3cm by 9.9cm to be slightly smaller than the white card base I made also with the white Papermilldirect card.
I sprinkled embossing powder over the stamped hearts, and set them with the heat gun.
I continued this until the card was finished.
I applied two colours of water colour inks. I used lots of water to let the colours blend easily. These water colours are very pigmented so a little bit goes a very long way.
I also blended some of the colour onto another pice of card. You can see the finished piece below.
On the plain piece I stamped a heart and a sentiment over it and cut it out.
I stuck a vellum panel over the water colour pane. I put a nest of messy gold thread on this and used the heart on foam pads to keep this in place. I added some gold stickles on for some details. I then adhered the water coloured panel down onto the card base and it was finished. Quite a simple card, just a bit time consuming waiting for the watercolour to dry - unless you choose to speed this part up with the heat gun!
