Good morning!
I love all the soft colours of card at Papermilldirect and today I will show you how I created this card.
You will need:
- Fleck Kraft Card 250gsm
- Black Plain Card 250gsm
- White Card Hemp 255gsm
- White Card Super Smooth 300gsm
- Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm
- You will also need:
- Animal stamps
- black pigment ink
- Die cutting machine
- Cloud and grass die
- Circle border edge die
- Zig markers or watercolour paints
- white embossing powder
- Heat gun
- Clear embossing powder
- Sequins
To make the card base I cut down a piece of Fleck Kraft Card 250gsm scored and folded in half. For my card front I cut down a piece of White Card Hemp 255gsm and adhered this onto my base using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then die cut a circle border edge die using a piece of Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm and adhered this onto my front panel using some more Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.
For the images I stamped them onto some White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and as its a pigment ink I then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. As this is not a card meant for water colouring if you clear emboss the stamped image it should stop the ink from running onto the paper. I lightly water coloured the images in and cut them out. I then die cut a piece of grass using some more Fleck Kraft Card 250gsm and adhered this and the animal images onto my card.
You will then need to emboss your greeting with white embossing powder onto a piece of Black Plain Card 250gsm. I adhered this onto my card front using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
To finish off the card I added a few sequins using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.
I hope you have fun making your cards and trying some light water colouring too!
