Card Making Tutorial - Make this fun thank you card yourself!

Hello it’s Angela here to share a simple but fun card design with you. Flamingos are very popular right now with paper-crafters and card makers, and I’m using this little flamingo die as the focal point on my card today, teaming it with some lovely Papermilldirect cardstocks for a modern look.

Step By Step:

1. Prepare mats & layers as follows: Score & Fold A4 PMD White card in half, trim down to create a 14cm square card base with fold across the top. Cut a 10.75cm square of PMD Purple Grape and a 10cm square of Sparkle Silver. Die cut approx. 5cm dia. circle from PMD white card and a slightly larger scalloped circle from PMD Purple Grape Card.

2. Die cut Flamingo from PMD Sparkle Print Brilliant Rose Card.

3. Stamp ‘Thanks’ stamp onto bottom of white circle using pink / purple inkpad (or solid colour if you prefer).

4. Mat white circle onto purple scalloped circle using d/s tape and / or glue. Glue flamingo so that legs come down the ‘n’ in ‘thanks’.

5. Mat Silver Sparkle square onto purple square and then again onto card front using d/s tape. Add 3D Foam pads to back of Flamingo panel.

6. Adhere flamingo panel to centre of card front. Add sequins in silver, pink and purple to card front using clear drying glue to adhere.

The PMD Silver sparkle card really highlights your designs and complements the sparkle in the Brilliant Rose Sparkle Print card. Sequins add a modern touch. This design although simple can easily be adapted with different images and sentiments and would be ideal for batch making.
