Hi everyone its Stacey and this week I've crafted a teacher thank you gift.
Many people give flowers as gifts so I thought it would be a lovely idea to craft a paper flower that a teacher can treasure for a long time.
I created all my svg files in Adobe Illustrator which I then cut on my Circut Explore machine.
I used three cards from Papermilldirect:
Daffodil Yellow Card, Mid Green Card and White Value Card
I added a sweet little sentiment to the two large leaves "If a teacher was a flower, I'd pick you." I used the font Bebas.
To make the centre of the flower I used a simple roll flower design which I attached the individual petals to. This is a very popular way to create a flower head. They are very easy to do and you can create many styles of flower just by altering the petal shape.
I wrapped five wire stems with floral tape which I secured using a glue gun to the flower head.
I attached the two leaves with floral tape and hey presto, I had a beautiful flower. You may decide to make a bouquet of flowers with a little message on each leaf or like me you may choose to create one extra large flower.
Happy flower crafting! If you decide to create your own paper bloom, please do share it with us. We love to see your crafts.
