Tone-on-tone cards are fun to make, and this one in silver was a bit of a challenge. To make it I used:
- Papermilldirect White Card Blank
- Papermilldirect Hammered White Card
- Papermilldirect Silver Non-Shedding Glitter Card
- Papermilldirect Silver Sirio Pearl Card
I created a base for my card using the silver Sirio Pearl card.
I then die-cut a lot of circles from the non-shedding glitter card and laid them out, moving them around until I found a layout I was happy with. Once happy I glued them down and trimmed off the excess.
I was keeping this card really simple but wanted to add these wooden butterflies. I needed to make them silver first, so used a silver Sharpie to give them a coat of colour. You can use paint, a paint pen etc. to colour them in any way you like. For me the Sharpie was fastest!
I stamped a banner image and added a sentiment to it. I then cut this out ready to use on my card.
I added my sentiment and butterflies to my card using foam pads for some extra dimension.
I added some sparkle to the butterflies using distress stickles to finish off the colour on them.
Once this all dried the card was done. It is simple but all the sparkle and shimmer makes it fun.
