Hello, it’s Angela here to share a Sympathy card design with you. Sympathy cards are not the easiest of cards to make, you want to convey your sympathy and keep the colour scheme respectful. I created this design using 2 of the Marble cardstocks from Papermilldirec which gave a lovely effect but also an elegant look.
I stamped the image of the Lilies onto the PMD White Marble cardstock using black ink and added a little water colour and shading using Aquash crayons. When dry I stamped the ‘With Sympathy’ sentiment using black Archival ink.
I trimmed the stamped panel down to approx. 4 ¼” x 5”and matted onto a slightly larger piece of PMD black cardstock using double sided tape.
The card base is simply a sheet of PMD Green Marble A4 cardstock scored and folded in half and then trimmed down to approx. 5 ¼” x 5 ¾”. The completed panel was then added to the cardfront using d/s tape.
Materials Used:
White Marble Card - Papermilldirect
Green Marble Card - Papermilldirect
Elegance slapstick/cling stamp – Penny Black
Aquash watercolour crayons – Pentel
Black Ink
D/S Tape
