Hello!
It has been so warm recently I thought it would be fun to make a summer shaker card.
The products I used are:
- White Card Super Smooth 300gsm
- Pink Plain Card 290gsm
- Raspberry Pink Plain Card 240gsm
- Daffodil Plain Card 290gsm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
You will also need:
- Stamps
- Sequins
- Marker pens
- Circle die
- Acetate
- Die cutting machine
- Pigment inks
- Stencil
- Heat gun
- White embossing powder
To start with I used a piece of Pink Plain Card 290gsm which I cut down, scored and folded in half for my card base. I then cut down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm for my card front. I did this twice as I was going to use a piece behind my shaker card. I then placed my stencil over the card and blended some pigment inks onto both pieces. After this I used my circle die and run this through my cutting machine to make a window. I then turned this over and used some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml which I placed around the edges before sticking down a piece of acetate. Once this is dry I added some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm around the edges, filled with sequins then placed my other stencilled piece of card on top. This was then adhered onto my card base.
The next step is to stamp and colour your image, once this was cut out I placed this down using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm. I then heat embossed the greeting onto a piece of Raspberry Pink Plain Card 240gsm using some white embossing powder. I then adhered this on the top of my card using some more Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
To finish off the card I added some sequins and made an envelope with a piece of Daffodil Plain Card 290gsm which is perfect for summer.
I hope you all enjoy making a summer card!
