Hi everyone, Barbara here with a tutorial for making a card with the pretty stamps from Altenew. These stamps are rapidly gaining popularity in the UK, especially as there is a matching die, and as we all know....life is far too short to 'fussy-cut', if there is a die we can use
First I stamped the images....there is a technique with Altenew stamps where you stamp in various shades of a similar colour to get the shading effect.....great idea if you don't like colouring. This pic shows the 3 stages for inking the flowers
Next I used the matching dies to cut out the various pieces....
I cut a 6" x 6" piece of card from white linen, then used a Spellbinder die to make a contrasting border in smooth black cardstock. This was adhered to the white card.
A very simple sentiment was stamped in Versamark, then heat-embossed in white.
I matted the whole topper onto new lilac smooth, white linen and black smooth card stock.
All I then needed to do was mount the pieces into a desired design, then add a few sequins.
The 7" x 7" base card was made with 'new lilac smooth'.
Well, that's it from me until next time....hope you can leave a comment (or question) if you've enjoyed this tutorial.
Catch you soon, Barbara.
