Stamped Collage Card For A Special Young Man

Hello Sylvia here, I have a stamped collage card to show you today which I made for a young man.
The collage effect is easy to achieve using small background stamps and larger collage stamps like the AALL guitar stamp used here. A small piece of Tim Holtz tissue wrap was used to add texture, distress inks for colour and small background stamps for interest. I chose papermilldirect white linen 255gsm for the inked panel and textured white hopsack 255gsm for the card blank. Christmas red plain 240gsm and black plain 240gsm card was used for layering.
I started with a piece of white linen card and attached a piece of torn tissue wrap using collage medium, when this was dry I added distress inks in yellows and oranges with a blending tool, leaving some of the card un-inked. The guitar collage stamp was added and heat embossed, this was coloured with a red distress marker to make it stand out.
I chose a selection of small background stamps and stamped randomly over the inked area, building up the collage effect. The sentiments were added last.
Hopsack textured card was used to create a card blank onto which a Christmas red card mat was added, a smaller piece of black card was added to this then the collage panel was added. To finish the card I added a personalised insert using papermilldirect white linen paper.
