Hi everyone it's Stacey and this week I've enjoyed crafting Christmas cards with some rather eye catching card.
Materials:
Frosty the Snowman card:
Snow is falling card:
Let it snow card:
Mod Podge to glue the layers together
Christmas is but only a few weeks away and what better way to spread Christmas cheer than by sending out homemade cards.
To make my cards I used Adobe Illustrator to put together the designs for each card (Helvetica font for all the text elements) and saved the files as SVG files. I then cut them out using my Cricut Explore Air machine. I cut all the cards on the ‘card’ setting on my machine and doubled up on the cut for a nice clean finish.
Once all the cards were cut out I measured the size of the sparkly card sheets to be slotted behind. Using Mod Podge I tacked around the sides and glued the layers together.
My favourite has to be Mr Frosty; I just love the sparkle of the Mirri card. It really does twinkle in the light. I think it would also work really nice for gift tags. The Hammer Embossed card adds a touch of elegance to the designs. I'd reccommend the Sparkle Print Orchid if you're wanting to add a subtle sparkle to your cards/designs.
I have kept all punched out letters and snowflakes – never throw away bits you can reuse, they'll always come in handy.
Happy card making everyone
