Hi everyone,
Nicole here to share a Christmas card made using some of the Papermilldirect card and card blanks. For this project I used:
- Papermilldirect Christmas Red Card
- Papermilldirect Christmas Red Card Blank
- Papermilldirect Dark Green Card
- Patterned Paper (old Christmas paper I had)
- Distress Glitter
I used old Christmas paper on this one and can't remember the name, and don't seem to have the cover of it any more. I am trying to use up full paper pads before buying new supplies, so it is in my stash about 2 years! It worked perfectly with the Papermilldirect dark green and christmas red card though. These two colours together are just a perfect Christmas card combination for me!
I added some distress glitter using glossy accents. I 'drew' on a line of glossy accents where I wanted the glitter, covered it with glitter, and then tapped off the excess onto a scrap piece of paper. I used this piece of paper to funnel the glitter back into the jar to save as much as possible. This glitter gives a lovely subtle sparkle it gives. It also doesn't flake off unless you rub hard which is brilliant!
I added this onto the stars too, I left them in their natural colour, just coated them in glossy accents, and added the glitter over the top. I also added glossy accents to the snowman's carrot nose and the coal he has for eyes/buttons etc. I think this gives a lovely bit of dimension to the card, but still keeps it practical to post.
This card came together so easily, especially with the pre-made Papermilldirect card base in the coordinating colours. Christmas card making has never been easier! Have you started your projects yet? Share over on our social media if you have, we love to see! use the #papermilldirect
