Hi everyone,
Nicole here to share a birthday card with you all, using the fun Silver Sparkle Papermilldirect card, teamed up with the Navy Papermilldirect card. I used a cut file on my Silhouette, and cut the file twice, once from the silver card and once from the navy. Cutting it from the navy meant that I could inlay the navy card into the top layer of the cake and tone down all that sparkle just a little bit! The navy panel I placed the card on I used a notebook punch on to add some interest on. The navy layered over the patterned paper toned down the patterned paper a bit.
I used the same navy card to cut the Happy Birthday sentiment from and glued this onto the cake. This was a nice way of adding the sentiment without overloading the card. I added some stars in the silver sparkle card as a simple embellishment but left it at that the, as the card was for a man, and also the silver sparkle cake demands a lot of attention already. Sometimes less is more!
I hope this inspires you to use the sparkle and shimmer cards from Papermilldirect. I love how not one bit of that glitter rubs off - that is a real winner in my book!
