Hello I am showing you how to make a sweet critter shaker card.
Products used:
- White Card Super Smooth 300gsm
- Spring Green Plain Card 240gsm
- Pale Turquoise Plain Card 240gsm
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
- Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm
- circle die cutter
- acetate
- embossing powder
- heat gun
- stamps
- markers
- twine
- pigment ink
- blending sponge
- sequins
To make the card base I used a piece of Pale Turquoise Plain Card 240gsm which I cut down and folded in half. I then cut a piece of Spring Green Plain Card 240gsm which is going to be placed behind the circle shaker. I stamped my images onto some White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and coloured them in with my markers. I set these aside and started to work on my card front.
For the card front I used another piece of White Card Super Smooth 300gsm which I die cut a circle out of. I then added some pigment inks which I blended onto the card using a sponge. This card really feels like butter so ink blending should be quite simple. I then cut a piece of acetate which I stuck down behind the card front using Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm. I then added some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm around the acetate, almost like a wall. This is to keep your sequins in. fill up the circle with some sequins.
I then added the Spring Green Plain Card 240gsm behind the shaker and stuck this onto my card front. I then placed the card front onto the card using Stick it! Double Sided Tape 6mm. After this I added my critters onto the card using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm. I then heat embossed a sentiment onto some Turquoise Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm. This colour is absolutely beautiful.
To finish off the card I placed a few sequins onto the card using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml and added some twine.
I hope you have fun making a shaker card!
