Hello, Sylvia here with a few snowman peek-a-boo cards suitable for young chldren.  I used red, buff and white card and grey ink for stamping with shaped dies to cut the apertures.

Materials used:

  • Papermilldirect white linen 250gsm, white hemp 255gsm, Christmas red 240gsm and buff 240gsm card
  • Woodware stamp "snowman family", sentiment from Crafter's Companion and A Stamp In The Hand Co. stamp "fields of sky"
  • Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir pens
  • shaped dies
  • glitter and bakers string

Fold an A4 sheet of hemp card in half to make a top fold card blank, or use a Papermilldirect ready made card blank.  Cut buff card to 20cm x 13.5cm, white card to 19.5cm x 13cm and the Christmas red card to 20.5cm x 14cm.

Stamp the snowman family onto both the buff and the white card.  I used a stamping platform as this is a large stamp and was too large for my stamping blocks.  Using the platform also gives a good image, and was helpful for lining up the images on the two cards

Die cut a shape from the buff card, you can move the aperture to different areas of the image if making more than one card so they are all different.  Colour in the snowmen on the white card in the area to show through the aperture, add glitter to the coloured areas and also to small details on the buff card and finally add a sentiment.

Line up the white image with the buff apperture and stick in place, add bakers string and fasten it to the back of the card.  Layer the buff card onto the Christmas red using 3D sticky tape then mat this onto the white card blank.

The aperture can be any shape and cut from any area of the stamped image.  Try using a smaller section of a large stamp and a square card blank, or why not make the design into a shaker card.

Happy crafting.
