Hi all,
Nicole here to share a rustic Fathers Day card with you all. For this card I used a more masculine colour pallet and it turned out great.
- Papermilldirect Buff Card Base
- Papermilldirect Buff Card Stock
- Papermilldirect Brown Cumbria Card
- Patterned Paper
- Twine, stamps, oval die and adhesive
I started off by selecting my card to go with my patterned paper. I knew I wanted to use the wood grain paper. So to get the best match I used the Papermilldirect Sample Book and flicked through until I found the perfect brown to complement it. These books are brilliant when you want to match patterned paper or images you have pre coloured and want to make into cards.
I then cut my layers and some banner shapes for the card and stacked them all up on one another. I used foam tape on the bottom of the banner to keep some dimension on it.
I then die cut a stitched oval and used alphabet stamps to create my sentiment.
Before adding this on I wrapped some twine around the banner to add some more texture. I used some red line tape to help stop it slipping when I was wrapping it.
I added the sentiment and then it was done!
