Colour Block Squares in shades of yellow give a retro vibe to this birthday card.
I selected different cardstock in shades of yellow, cream and gingham yellow. I die cut them out several times using the Spellbinders Colour Block Squares.
I enjoyed piecing the squares together, creating different looks for each one.
On a 4.75” card base, I marked in pencil a line down the centre both ways. This helped me to adhere the squares straight and evenly spaced. Once the card base was covered in squares, I trimmed away the overhanging edges.
For the sentiment, I foiled a happy birthday glimmer plate in gold on black card. I foiled three sentiment strips, then adhered them with foam strips to finish.
