Pretty in pastel or bold and beautiful rainbow cards using the new Mixed Card Packs. Great value for money, these packs are so versatile .
Both made using a 7" x 5" white card blank and the Simon Says Stamp Thanks die set.
For the bold card, attach a 6.75" x 4.75" black layer using double-sided tape. Next add a white layer (6.5" x 4.5") and add the die cuts, keeping the top left corners evenly spaced. Stamp any extra sentiment you wish to add at the bottom right.
For the pastel card, a more subtle colour palette looks better. Layer sizes are the same as for the bold card, but instead of black use Perla Sirio for the first layer. Add the white layer and then the die cuts in a staggered line. To finish add your preferred embellishment and a sentiment.
For the flower, I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Daisies die. Cut one of each size from white card, distress and tear each layer then roughly blend some grey ink over each (I used Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke). Glue together, adding the smallest centre from the die set to complete the tatty flower. Adhere to the top right corner. Stamp a small sentiment in the bottom left corner. I finished the centre of the flower and highlighted parts of the sentiment with Nuvo Glitter Drops - Purple Rain.
Which one is your favourite? Bold and beautiful or pretty in pastels?
