Hi bloggers, Barbara back again with another quick & easy card to make for Valentine's Day, using a set of alphabet dies and a piece of inky card on a base of white hemp.
I started off by die-cutting the letters from a piece of white smooth card stock which I inked and dry embossed to get some texture.
Next I die-cut the same letters from white hemp, then layered this onto a slightly larger piece, on which I had inked the edges.
I cut another 2 sets of letters from scrap card, then mounted all three sets together, with the coloured part on the top. These were then adhered o the card.
Here is a 'side-view' to show the depth of the letters.
All I needed to do now was punch 3 small hearts from the left-over inked card, and stamp a tiny sentiment onto black smooth card. The hearts were adhered randomly.
I make a 7" x7" card base from 2 A4 sheets of white hemp, and layered the completed 'topper' onto the base.
So, a very easy card if you leave your Valentine's greeting until the very last minute (as I often do!)
Back soon,
Barbara x
