Hi Sylvia here with something different for me, a quick card using papers and toppers which were free with a craft magazine. I used smooth white 250gsm card to back the topper before cutting it out as it was only thin paper.
To start I cut three oblong shapes from the heart patterned paper, folded one short end without creasing and snipped the bottom off at an angle to create the flag. The flags were layered onto red card and the topper and sentiment attached with sticky fixers. The red card with the topper was attached to a card blank made with super smooth 300gsm card. Bakers string was ties round the top of the card with a love charm, I embossed the charm with red embossing powder to match the card.
Materials used:
- papermill super smooth 300gsm, plain white 250gsm and Christmas red cardstock
- free paper and topper pack, came with Making Cards Magazine (2014)
- distress ink for blending edges
- scissors
- glue and 3D sticky fixers
- bakers twine
- charm
