Hello everyone, Sylvia here with a pumpkin shaped Halloween card cut using my Silhouette Cameo and a cutting file for a place card. This design could be adapted for Thanksgiving or Harvest Festival just by altering the decorations if you are not a fan of Halloween.
Materials used:
- papermilldirect intensive orange plain 210gsm, buff smooth 260gsm and black plain 50gsm card
- Sizzix Thinlits die set - Halloween Shadows
- Tim Holtz spritzer
- distress markers and polychromo coloured pencils
- Silhouette cutting file - Pupkin Place Card and Label
I started by enlarging the place card to 15cm and cut it out using intensive orange card. The center section of the card was scored to give some depth to the shape, then some colour was added with pencils in different shades of orange. More colour was added using the spritzer with distress markers, I think the speckles add a little more character to the pumpkin. The die cuts were cut twice and glued together to give a deeper image before being added the the card. To finish the card the eyes on the bats and cat were added with a white pen.
This is a fun card for the children, not too scary! If you are having a Halloween party the cutting file I used would be ideal with different spooky images added along with the guest's name.
Sylvia xx
