I love the range of colour card that Papermilldirect has, not only have they every shade of pastel card, but they also have every shade of pastel in a shimmer card. Using the shimmer card really adds an extra something special to the cards you make. For this card I used:
- Papermilldirect Flamingo Pink Non Shed Glitter Card
- Papermilldirect Dusty Pink Pure Pearl Card
- Papermilldirect Powder Purple Pure Pearl Card
- Papermilldirect Hammered White Card
I started off by creating a card base from the Dusty Pink Pearl card. This card is single sided so is perfect for making card bases. I then cut a panel of the Powder Purple card to sit on top of the card base.
I then cut a small piece of the Dusty Pink card to sit on the top third of the purple panel. I used two different embossing folders to give different textures to the different colours. Once embossed I glued the pink panel to the top of the purple.
I cut a thin strip of the Flamingo glitter card to act as a paper 'ribbon' to hide the join between the two paper layers. Once this was adhered I then added the panel on top of the card base I created.
I created a sentiment using the Hammered White card along with some of the Dusty pink, and stamped a sentiment onto the white die cut panel.
I added some pearl embellishments and the card was done!
