Pretty Pastel Spring Wedding Stationery

Hi, Sylvia here with a selection of wedding stationery suitable for a Spring wedding.  This is a variation of a design I created for a wedding a few years ago.  I have updated the design using pretty pink, lemon and green with crisp white linen card, a modern butterfly die and a digitally created butterfly background.

Wedding stationery does take careful planning and preparation, making endless identical pieces of stationery can be daunting but the end result will be well worth the effort.  Papermilldirect have a wonderful range of white, cream and pearlised card ideal for invitations and table stationery.  There are also many beautiful coloured cards and envelopes available to match your wedding colour and theme.

When making wedding stationery I like to make a set comprising of invitations, both day and evening including RSVP card and return envelope, order of service/ceremony and a thank you card.  The table stationery comprises of table number/name, place cards, menus and favour boxes/bags, and of course not forgetting the all important seating plan.

I favour a small card place setting with a verse inside but you can make a top fold place card as shown below, or try printing guests names onto individual menus.  Create your own table numbers with a theme, I used butterfly names for the tables to match the stationery theme.

A desktop publishing program was used to create the wording and the tattered butterfly image was brought in from a scrapbooking program.  The butterfly was copied and pasted, coloured with pastel shades and a transparency added.  It was then formed into a block of flying butterflies.  Creating a digital background does save time but stamping and embossing, although time consuming, does  look beautiful.

• papermilldirect pastel pink, pastel green and pastel canary 160 gsm card
• Memory Box butterfly dies
• pistachio green satin ribbon
• tiny crystals to decorate the butterflies
