Baby girl cards are probably one of the only times I tend to use pink. In this case, I used all the pink! I used:
- Papermilldirect Baby Pink A5 card blank
- Papermilldirect Pastel Pink Plain card
- Papermilldirect Baby Pink plain card
- Papermilldirect Pink plain card
- Papermilldirect White Lady Cocktail card
- Altenew Baby Zoo Stamp set & matching dies
- Altenew Cosmos Mini Cube ink set
When I have cut all the pieces for my card according to the design I am planning, I tend to lay it all out in the way I think it will work, including placing the stamps where they will be going. This way I get a good idea if the card will 'work'.
In this case I felt like the card needed more, so I decided to do some tone on tone stamping on the background using a pale pink ink.
I then stamped the giraffe in a darker pink ink and used the matching die to cut it out. I stamped it on pink card, so that the surrounding border was pink, to keep the co-ordination going on the card.
I then started to glue down my panel for the front of the card, and used a baby pink ink for the sentiment.
I added the panel to the pink card base, and adhered the giraffe with foam tape. I added some sparkling gems. I love the shimmer that the white card gives, along with the gems. All the layers of pink add dimension too, along with the random stamped background.
