The new Papermilldirect Mixed Card Packs are fantastic, they come in such a range of colours, and you get a selection of colours that work together, taking all that guesswork out of the card making and crafting process. For this card I used the Pastel Rainbow Mixed Card Pack. They are such soft pretty colours!
I started off by making a card base with the Lavender Plain Card and then used the Pastel Pink card to die cut a honeycomb die pattern to lay on top of this.
I used this same die to then cut many of the hexagons from all of the other colours in the paper pack, so I could inlay them into the honeycomb shape. I laid the colours in randomly, and left some empty. Some I added the Lavender into, but mounted on foam squares to add some texture and dimension.
I then created a sentiment banner from the Pastel Canary card and stamped a Happy Birthday on this. I mounted it on foam tape in the middle and glue at the edges, again to add more dimension.
Overall the card is fun, colourful, but still soft, because of the pastel colour range. So fun!!
