Partial die-cutting is a great effect for your card making, find out how simple it is to achieve this really eye catching technique with this tutorial from Janet Young.

Snowflake Christmas Card 1

At this time of year if you make your own Christmas cards it’s ideas for quick cards that are most useful. This card is very simple, yet effective.

Pass through your die cutting machine and the die will cut out the snowflake shape. Above the pencil line the die will cut out the snowflake shape so that it becomes free standing. Below the line it cuts out the spaces/pattern but not the outside of the snowflake.

Score the card gently on either side of the snowflake, rubbing out the pencil line where it goes through the snowflake.
The card folds in half and the snowflake stands up above the edge of the card.

You can then stamp a message on the front and add some sparkly embellishments. Card finished!!! All in under 5 mins.
