What can you do with parchment paper?

You can embellish, perforate, stipple, cut, print on and colour parchment. Parchment craft has been around for many years, originally used to create religious devotional cards and more recently it has been used for regular greeting cards, certificates and wedding stationery. With careful perforating you can even make parchment paper appear like lace! It's an entire art in itself!

The parchment we have on special offer at the moment is 145gsm in a natural colour, perfect for card making projects, calligraphy and great for die cutting, like Sylvia, our designer has done here with this mistletoe (I know, bit early for Christmas but us crafters have to be ready!) Sylvia told us she thinks the parchment will be ideal for vintage style crafts.

I really like to use hammered card to make my base card and a mixture of finishes and textures for my die-cuts. I also like to make my own flowers for embellishments using pearlised paper.

For me it has to be an excellent quality white, smooth cardstock. Something that is good for making my own card blanks with and excellent for stamping and colouring on.deep72

Difficult to decide what is my favourite as I use all my colours, but I suppose plain white card for its versatility for printing, stamping, embossing , inking etc. Love the look of the vellum as vintage and retro seems to be so popular at the moment. My great niece's wedding theme this year is rustic vintage and I am attempting to make a card to reflect the theme to make it more personal

Definitely the Ultra white pearlised - perfect for any occasion - I'm biased though as used the card and paper as part of my own wedding stationery - only 38 days to go until my big day
