Baby Boy Giraffe Card 1

Hi All,

Nicole here to share a cute and simple baby card with you all. I had always found it difficult to make quick and easy baby cards until I came across a fantastic stamp set by Altenew - the Baby Zoo stamp set. This set has so many baby sentiments in it for all possibilites that you can imagine, and the images are just perfect for those new arrivals.

Card Making Supplies:

So for this card I used:

  • Papermilldirect Sky Blue Plain card
  • Papermilldirect Smooth White card
  • Papermilldirect Plain White card
  • Altenew BabyZoo stamp set and coordinating dies
  • Stormy Sky Distress Ink
  • Mustard Seed Distress Ink
  • Brushed Corduroy Disrress Ink

6X8 Baby Zoo Grande

I started off by stamping my own patterned paper using a tiny star from the stamp set on the blue card. To do this I used the die cut frame and placed it where I wanted it to go on the blue panel. I then added some pencil marks to show where it would be. This meant I didn't stamp inside this border. I then used Stormy Sky Distress ink to stamp the star in a random pattern over the background. I then adhered the frame and added the sentiment stamped in black ink for some contrast.

The giraffe got stamped in Mustard Seed and Brushed Corduroy distress ink and die cut with the coordinating dies. Then adhered in the centre of the frame with foam pads. This little bit of dimension gave a nice touch to a otherwise simple card.

I love creating my own patterned paper backgrounds, and I love when there are tiny stamps in sets like this to allow you to do so. This stamp set is definately going to get a lot of use from me!
