Monster Fun Birthday

Making fun birthday cards is always enjoyable. I love getting to play with fun colour combos, and get to use colours that I don't usually get to use. For this card I used:

• Papermilldirect Terra Rossa Materica Card
• Papermilldirect White Card Blank
• Papermilldirect Blue Moon Cocktail Pearl Card
• Patterned paper
• Stamp & Distress Ink
• Paper Punch
• Aquamarkers

I started my card by layering the Blue Moon card on the white card base, with a layer of patterned paper over top. The patterned paper complemented the blue and orange Papermilldirect card that I used.

I used a paper punch to add a notebook effect to a piece of the Terra Rossa card to give a fun effect to it.

I felt the Terra Rossa by itself was a little too plain, so I did some tone-on-tone stamping with Distress Inks and my image stamp to add a little fun to it.

I coloured my image using Aqua markers, and reflected the colours from my Papermilldirect card. I then used a combination of scissors and scalpel to cut it out.

I added a sentiment to my orange paper punched panel.

I added my image on with foam pads, added some fun coloured dots, and the card was done. It's so fun and colourful, I really enjoyed working on this one!!
