Mermaid Happy Birthday Shaker Card

Good Morning,

I love using bright colours especially for birthday cards. I have this sweet mermaid shaker card on the blog today.

You will need:

• Daffodil Yellow Smooth Card 240gsm
• Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm
• Turquoise Colour Card 240gsm
• White Card Super Smooth 250gsm
• Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
• Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm

You will also need:

• Mermaid stamps and greeting (Uniquely Creative)
• Copic Markers
• Circle Die
• Acetate sheet
• White Embossing Powder (WOW)
• Nuvo Drops
• Sequins (CraftMania)

To start with I made the card base using a sheet of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm which I scored at 5 7/8" and trimmed at 4 1/8".

I then trimmed down the card front using a sheet of Daffodil Yellow Smooth Card 240gsm and run a circle die through the die cutting machine. I turned this over and adhered a acetate piece over the back using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. Once this is dry I then added some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm around the edges and filled the inner circle with sequins. I then adhered a piece of Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm and adhered this to my card front.

On a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm I stamped and coloured my images with copic markers. Trim the images out and adhere to the card using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.

I then stamped and heat embossed the greeting onto a piece of Turquoise Cumbria Colour Card 270gsm. I trimmed this down and adhered onto the card.

To finish the card off I added a few drops of Nuvo drops.

Your mermaid shaker card is now complete.
