I thought today I’ll do a little tutorial on creating a paper rose as it seems they might feature a bit in the tutorials over the next few weeks ...
These flowers up vast amounts of paper .
So here we go ...
Materials used
- Today I’m using intensive red plain card 160gsm (for this flower I would recommend a paper weight of at least 220gsm - 290gsm)
- Cutting mat
- Cricut cutting machine
- Glue gun
Start by cutting your petals .
Now start by curling the center into itself and glue it together .
Try to clear up as much as the residue as possible so it look as clean as possible .
Repeat this till all 4 are secured as your center should look something like this .
Now start to place your petals together .
For this you need to place 4 like this .
And then repeat the steps filling in the gaps .
Continue this process till the flower looks a bit full.
Now place you pre made centre in the middle ..
Your flower should now look like this .
As I mentioned before this flower is fairly complex do it might take a few try’s before you get to a place where you like your flower .
But guess what, practice will make this one perfect ...
