Hi all,
It is Nicole here today to share a card made using very different colour combination than usual for me - white, gold and pink! I am really trying to push myself lately and use different colour combos that I usually do.
I love the white on white look on cards, but I find I can never manage to pull the look off. I always need a accent colour, or even accent colours. So this is how this card came about. It started as white on white, and then ended up with some pink and gold in it too! I used:
- Papermilldirect Smooth White Card
- Papermilldirect White Hammered Card
- Papermilldirect Gold Sandgrain Card (Special Offer)
- Altenew Label Love stamp set
- Altenew Vintage Roses stamp set
- Altenew mini inks in red/pinks (it is a quartet of inks designed to work with the roses)
- Embossing folder - crosshatch folder
I used the white card as a background and embossed it with the folder. I layered it on gold card then on a white card base. I used the smooth white cad to cut out the frame. I cut it a few times to get some dimension and added it to the card. I cut a panel from the gold and added it to the center of the frame and added some roses from the vintage roses set and a sentiment from the label love set. The gold is a bit hard to photograph but the image below shows it best.
This image shows the details of the embossing better however along with the texture of the gold card. It doesn't show the true colour of the gold card though!
I hope you like this simple card and get inspired to make a white on white with pops of colour card. Make sure to share them with us if you do over on our Facebook page or on Twitter!
