Ivory Classics

Ivory is such a classic wedding colour, from dresses, flowers to cards and gifts. For this card I used Papermilldirect Hammered Ivory Card, and used the tone on tone effect, along with embossing for detail. I added in a pop of the Papermilldirect Rose Gold Non Shed Glitter Card, because you have to have a little bit of sparkle on a wedding day!
I took a Hammered Cream card base, and cut a Hammered Cream matting panel for it. I then used a set of dies to layer on top of this. When all of these were layered on top of one another they blended in to one another a lot.
To avoid this blending, I got out some embossing folders, and embossed with two different but complementing patterns.
To further break up the layers I used some champagne coloured seam binding around some of the layers.
My last layer went on top of this seam binding ribbon.
I then finished the card off with the wedding couple in the Rose Gold non shed card, and a sentiment on a banner, and some pearls. I love the tone on tone effect with a pop of colour. What is your favourite colour scheme to try this with?
