Hi everyone, it's Sandie here today with a quick tutorial on how to make a cute Jar of Hearts Shaker Card.
Supplies:
Patterned paper
Acetate
Precision scissors
3D foam tape
Embellishments of choice
Stamp the Jar of Hearts in the centre of a piece of white card measuring 3.75" x 5"
Using a craft knife, cut out the centre of the jar, leaving the tag intact.
Choose your patterned paper and colour the hearts to match. You can colour them in a range of colours but I just used the shade of red in my paper.
Colour all of the hearts and cut them out. Once you have them cut out, you need to colour the backs of them too. I stamped out the image again and used 2 sets of hearts to make my confetti.
Cut a card base measuring 4.25" x 5.5" and the patterned paper at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", adhere them together.
Cut a piece of white card measuring 4" x 5.25" and a piece of acetate measuring 3.5" x 4.75"
Apply a strip of tape around all 4 sides of the acetate and centre it on the back of the card with the jar stamped on it.
On the acetate, apply some foam tape around the shape of the jar and on the top and bottom of the panel. Place the hearts onto the acetate.
Remove the backing from the 3D tape and adhere the piece of 4" x 5.25" white card down onto it, to seal the shaker. You will have to eyeball it to centre it.
Alternatively, you can use a piece of card measuring the same size as the front panel, and just line up all the edges.
Turn the panel over to reveal hearts in the jar. I added some glossy accents to the hearts on the tag and on the hearts outside the jar.
Here is the finished card. I used a strip of the patterned paper and some enamel dots to embellish the front.
