The Gesture of Sending Easter Cards

Sending Easter cards has a nostalgic, personal, and thoughtful appeal that makes it a beloved tradition for many people. Easter is associated with renewal and hope, making it a great card to send for positive wishes. With so much communication happening through text and social media, a handwritten or even handmade card feels extra special and personal. There is, of course, the religious aspect of Easter, so for those who celebrate this is a way to reinforce the meaning of the season, sending cards with prayers or blessings.

  1. Tie your string around a top-fold white card blank and place the egg on top of it using 3D foam dots.
  1. Add your sentiment through a stamp and include a die-cut bunny.

You can switch up the colours if you like – there are endless possibilities. Be sure to let us know if you recreate this card.

Chocolate Egg-Shaped Easter Card Idea

Continuing on the theme of eggs, this chocolate egg shaped easter card idea by Angela Dodson is an adorable easter craft that truly replicates the iconic imagery of the season. In the shape of an egg, your recipients will certainly be able to remember the card you sent, just make sure they aren’t tempted to eat it! Here’s how you make it:

  1. Draw or print your chosen chick image and sentiment onto our Smooth Ivory Card – Angela has chosen ‘Egg-Stra Special Easter Wishes’, but feel free to adjust this as you wish. Cut around the overall design in an egg shape.
  1. Use a large egg-shaped die cut to create the chocolate egg shape from our Chocolate Brown Pure Pearl Single Sided Card.
  1. Use a dot embossing folder to emboss the card, score a line on the back of the egg shape around 3cm from the top.
  1. Apply glue above the score line and join it to the back of the embossed card to create the egg shape.
  1. Slice a small strip off the card back so that the card can stand easily.
  1. Tear some strips of our Rose Gold Pure Pearl Single Sided Card adhering the smaller torn strip onto the larger strip using double-sided tape.
  1. Using double-sided tape once again, adhere the layered strip across the embossed card front, and trim flush with card edges.
  1. Take a strip of decorative washi tape and adhere across the paper strip, again trimming flush with card edges.
  1. To finish, add your image to the card front using 3D foam dots and attach a yellow bow to the side.

This delectable tutorial is a great way to get creative this Easter, with a unique egg-like appearance.

  1. Use stamps or coloured pencils - depending on how long you want to spend on this craft - to create the cross and flower decorations.
  1. Use coloured pencils or water colour on the image to brighten it up in places.
  1. Create the border using our Plain Black Card, and finish by adding your chosen sentiment.

These cards are a classic easter theme and are perfect for anyone who also wishes to celebrate the religious aspect of this season.
