Hi there,
My daughter graduates from university tomorrow with a 'First' and so I made this simple easy card to celebrate her achievement.
Materials used;
- White Hemp Card
- Black Plain Card
- Silver Sparkle Card
- Sentiment stamp – Congratulations (for the inside) and versafine ink – Onyx black to stamp
- White gel pen
Dies used were
- Mariannes Collectables – elegant numbers
- X cut Nesting dies – 5 stars
Firstly I took a piece of black card stock and die cut 6 of the smallest stars and 1 of the largest stars from the nesting die set.
Then I cut one each of the second largest star in white and 1 in silver card.
I then drew a mortarboard hat and cut it out in black. I drew around it with a white gel pen to add some interest.
I also die cut the numbers out of a piece of black card.
I used a piece of A4 hemp cardstock which I folded in half as my card base. I never stick anything down until I am happy with the whole look and placement of the card. I used a combination of glue and 3D mounting tape to add dimension to the numbers and the small silver stars which I place over the small black stars.
Then I cut the base card to size.
Voila! A really quick graduation card which is sure to impress. Congrats!
