Hi Vic here today and I have made a cute card that’s sure to put a smile on someone’s face especially after moving house.
Products used:
New Super Smooth White Card 350gsm
Sage Green Pure Pearl Single Sided Card 300gsm
Egyptian Blue Plain Card 240gsm
Mango Yellow Plain Card 240gsm
Rich Cream Card Hammered 255gsm
Peach Orange Pure Pearl Double Sided Card 300gsm
You will also need:
Square die (Uniquely Creative)
Scalloped square die (Uniquely Creative)
Mushroom House (Spellbinders)
Gnome Stamps (La-La Land Crafts)
Grass die (MFT)
Stencil (La-La Land Crafts)
Inks
Copics
Using a piece of New Super Smooth White Card 350gsm I made a square card blank measuring 5x5 inches. I then used a square die and a piece of Cherry Red Plain Card 240gsm to die cut a scalloped square. Using the next size die down I die cut another square using New Super Smooth White Card 350gsm and this is the one we will be inking on with our stencil.
I then used a 5x5 die and die cut a larger square using Mango Yellow Plain Card 240gsm that will go over the card base.
Using the reds. Cream and brown colours I die cut my mushroom home. This die also comes with flowers and a little snail too.
I then started to die cut my flowers and snail using the colours listed above.
Using the stamps and piece of New Super Smooth White Card 350gsm I stamped my two gnomes. I then used my copic markers to colour these in. I then fussy cut them out with a pair of scissors and placed these aside. Next I used the stencil and some distress inks to create a sky. I then added the grass using the gorgeous Sage Green Pure Pearl Single Sided Card 300gsm. This green is so pretty it’s almost got gold specks in it.
I then started adhering the card together, and adhered my card front to the card base. I then added the mushroom and gnomes.
Once all my pieces were on my card I added the greeting. I used the beautiful Egyptian Blue Plain Card 240gsm. I heat embossed a greeting using white embossing powder and heat set this with my heat gun. The card is now complete!
