Hi All,
Nicole here to share a mothers day card that doesn't require any mothers day stamps. I don't have any stamps specific for this holiday so I always struggle, but with a bit of creativity you can use what you have and still have a lovely card. On this one I used:
- Papermilldirect Hammered White Card
- Papermilldirect Pastel Pink Card
- Papermilldirect Violet Lustre Card
- Papermilldirect Apple Green Card
- Papermilldirect Dark Green Card
- Papermilldirect Raspberry Pink A5 Card Base
I started by laying a panel of pastel pink over the Raspberry Pink card base.
On top of this I laid a panel of Hammered White card. I had a circle cut out of this panel, offset to the right.
I then used my Silhouette to cut leaves and a flower for my card. I used the Apple Green and Dark Green for the leaves, and Violet Lustre for the flower.
I then cut a circle from White Hammered to sit in the centre of the open circle. I stuck this in place with foam tape for dimension.
I then stamped a sentient using Altenew Label love stamp set on the Pastel Pink card using pink ink. I placed this where I wanted it to go on m circle to use as a guide so that I could start adhering my leaves in place. I worked from the bottom up for the leaves. I used foam tape for dimension on them all, including the flower. Once they were all in place I added the flower, and placed the sentiment.
I added a single gem to the centre of the flower and left it at that. I wanted the flowers to really pop against the white hammered card.
By using a more generic sentiment I can personalise the card for mothers day by writing my message and the sentiment inside. This saves me from purchasing a stamp set to be used once a year, year after year. I find I get bored of single use sets, so I prefer to use what I have in this way instead.
