Hi All,
Nicole here to share a fun Easter card showing how I made this card, step by step, including fixing a silly little mistake along the way. On this project I used:
Card Making Supplies - find all your card and paper here at Papermilldirect!
- Papermilldirect Intensive Yellow Plain Card
- Patterned paper
- Bloobel Easter bunny digi image
- Polychromos pencils
I started by using the yellow card to create a mat for the patterned paper to use as a background for the card.
I then used the yellow card again to create a mat for the image I had coloured.
I then used the yellow card again and measured a strip of this by marking it out roughly to the size I wanted it to be and then trimming it down.
I then stamped my sentiment on this. This is where I made my mistake then. I pressed my finger onto the ink before it was dry, as I was pressing the strip down to adhere it. I used glossy accents which meant I couldn't get the strip peeled off to add a new one. So to fix this I simply cut a new strip to the exact same size and adhered it over the top of it. This then gave a little extra dimension which was nice and fixed the problem!
This was a super quick fix and prevented me from having to start over on the background entirely. Here you can see the finished card. I added the image with foam squares. I also added some yellow enamel dots to match the polkadots and shimmer dots on the bunny's hat.
Hope it gets you in the mood for those Easter celebrations! For additional products to create your own ideas why not visit our craft supplies page.
