Hi All,
Nicole here to share a quick and fun easter make with you. This card was very fast to make because I used a digital cut file from Bird's cards. Unfortunately, I can't find the exact cut file to link to but you can find lots of similar files and swing card files here. For this project I used:
- Papermilldirect Sky Blue Plain Card
- Papermilldirect Pastel Pink Plain Card
- Papermilldirect Hammered White Card
- Papermilldirect Gold Grosgrain Card
I used the cut file and cut my pieces from the different colours. The card base was cut from hammered white as was one of the center layering pieces. I cut the bunny from the gold to make him the focal point and be reminiscent of a certain gold chocolate bunny! The bunny was placed on the white panel which was then layered onto the pink panel. This is the card fully closed.
This is the card when standing swung open. You can see how the centerpiece stands out.
When closed this hides your message in behind it.
These cards are fun to make and are just that little bit different from the standard. If you don't have a digital machine you can very easily make these cards by hand. I was just being very lazy using my machine! There is a great tutorial here on how to make one with no fancy tools or cutting machine needed. Give it a go and share your results over on our Facebook page!
Nicole
