How to Make Die Cut Bunny Easter Cards
Hi, Sylvia here with a box frame picture and matching Easter card. The rabbit die used is large and ideal for using in a frame. The frames are a pretty light pink so I picked pearlised pink and cream card to make up the die cut picture. The rabbit was cut from the center of a pink and a cream card square, I used both the positive and the negative die cuts to make up the picture. The cream rabbit was attached to the center of a square of pink card and the pink negative was attached over it using 3D foam pads. The second frame used the contrasting colours, cream background and pink rabbit.
The easter card was simple, the die cut rabbit was fastened to a rich cream card blank and a sentiment added along with three pale blue sticky back pearls, a pearl was added to the rabbit's eye too.
Materials used:
- papermilldirect magenta lustra print card 300gsm, cream lustra print card 300gsm, rich cream card hopsack 255gsm
- Sizzix Thinlits die - Wild Rabbit
- wooden box frames
- self adhesive coloured pearls
As an afterthought (after I took the photos) I added a pearl eye to the rabbits in the frames. I love this large intricate die which would make ideal pictures for a little girl or boy for the bedroom or nursery, especially if the child's name was added.
Sylv xx
