Hi all,
Nicole here to share a fun card for those cycling enthusiasts in your life. For this one I used:
- Papermilldirect Intensive Red Card
- Papermilldirect Black Plain Card
- Papermilldirect Red Card Base
- Cycling SVG from Silhouette store
- Altenew Label Love stamp set
- Frame rectangle stitched die set
The colours on this card are a very bold colour combination so I kept the card quite simple and clean. I die cut the cyclist in black and placed him in the centre of a rectangle stitched frame die cut. I cut the frame border 3 times and glued them on top of one another to give some dimension to the frame, rather than simply one frame stuck down flat.
Behind this frame there was a black mat layer and then a Papermilldirect Red card base.
I stamped the label sentiment in black on red, so that the red shone through and kept everything on the card in the black and red colour scheme. I mounted the sentiment and the cyclist with foam tape. I had to cut the tap into small pieces for a lot of the bicycle parts, but it was worth it for the effect it gave on the card.
It is such a striking colour combination, the Papermilldirect Intensive Red really does pop, particularly when paired with the black!
