Good Morning Vic here today. I am forever needing congratulations cards and I made this sweet card for a special occasion.
You will need the following card making supplies:
- White Card Super Smooth 250gsm
- Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm
- Flamingo Pink Non-Shedding Glitter Card 285gsm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
You will also need:
- Floral stamp (Uniquely Creative)
- Congrats Die
- Watercolour paints
- Waterproof Ink Pad
- Gems
To make the card base I trimmed down a piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm to 4 1/4 and I scored this at 5 7/8" inches. I then trimmed down a smaller piece of White Card Super Smooth 250gsm as my card front. I added a few splatters of pink and purple watercolour to my card front and while this dried I stamped the floral images onto some more White Card Super Smooth 250gsm. I used a waterproof ink pad so that when I coloured the flowers in with the paint the ink wont spread and make a mess. I only used a small amount of water too.
Once the floral images are dry cut them out and place onto your card front using some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
Using the congrats die I die cut the word using some Flamingo Pink Non-Shedding Glitter Card 285gsm and adhered this onto the card base using Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.
I then added some Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm to the whole back of the card front and adhered this onto the card base.
To finish off the card I added some little gems which I stuck down with some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml. I then made an envelope using a piece of Baby Pink Plain Card 240gsm.
I hope this has helped you with creating a pretty congrats card. You can change the greeting to other sentiments too. I think this would look pretty as a birthday card too.
