I love making fun cards using basic supplies. For this card I used:
- Papermilldirect Burgundy Sirio Pearl Merida Card
- Papermilldirect Dark Green Plain Card
- Papermilldirect Verdigris Materica Card
- Patterned paper, circle dies, ruler, pencil
I started by creating a red and green layering panel for my card.
I then used some circle dies to cut varying sizes of circles from some patterned paper. I cut a lot not knowing how many I would use in the end. I will duplicate this card so they won't go to waste!
I laid out the circles on the green panel to get an idea of position then once happy glued them down and trimmed off any excess that overhung.
I then used a little die to make some green bows. I made these in the lighter green for better contrast.
I wanted my ornaments to look like they were hanging from green ribbons so I cut some very thin strips of the green card. I then used a ruler and pencil to draw a line to mark the position for them, and glued them down.
Once the 'ribbons' were on I added the bows.
I put the layers all together and the card was done. Simple but fun!
