Hello, today I will show you how to make a boys birthday card with some embossing for a fun texture background.
The products I used are:
- Slate Grey Smooth Card 240gsm
- Navy Plain Card 240gsm
- White Card Super Smooth 300gsm
- Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm
- Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml
- Birthday stamp
- Clear embossing powder
- Versamark ink
- Heat gun
- Background stamp
- Marker pens
To start with I used Slate Grey Smooth Card 240gsm which I cut down, scored and folded in half to make my card base. I then used a piece of Navy Plain Card 240gsm which I cut down to make my card front. I then stamped the background stamp and added some clear embossing powder and heat set this. This will leave you with a clear embossed background which adds some fun texture to your cards. I then stuck this to my card base using some Anita’s PVA Tacky Glue 60ml.
The next step is to stamp your image or images and colour them in. I used some White Card Super Smooth 300gsm and also stamped the Happy Birthday greeting. I then added these to my card using Stick it! 3D Foam Tape 9mm.
The card is now finished and is simple to make. You can use any stamps for this card that you like.
I find some male cards are tricky to make but I had so much fun creating this one.
