Nicole here today to share a fun card mixing patterned paper and Papermilldirect card. For this card I used:

  • Papermilldirect White Plain Card
  • Papermilldirect White Linen Card
  • American Crafts Amy Tangerine Patterned Paper
  • Ink and adhesive

I started by cutting a piece of patterned paper slightly bigger than a piece of Papermilldirect plain white card. This plain white card was to use as a base for the patterned paper and to support the panel I was going to be creating.

I then cut a panel of White Linen card to be the same size as the pattened paper. I used a ruler and pencil to mark out a triangle I wanted to cut out of this white linen panel. I went from corner to corner to a central point I marked.

I then laid this whit linen panel over the top of the patterned paper.

I then moved on to creating a box. I used my envelope punch board for this. But you could hand cut using a template too. I used directions I found here.

Bow 4

While the glue was drying on my bow I stamped a sentiment on my card using teal ink to match in with the hearts in the patterned paper and the bow.

Bow 5

I then glued down the bow and the card was done! The linen card is hard to photograph but the texture of it makes the card really elegent and its simplicity really work in person!
