Hi, Barbara here with a couple of birthday cards which would be suitable for young kids....
I started off by cutting all the components.
2 x 5" toppers, in white linen card stock, then 'mats' which increased in size by quarter of an inch increments. I've used sky blue & raspberry pink card for the mats.
Next step was to die-cut all of the images in sky blue plain, & raspberry pink card. I've also used scraps of baby pink & navy for the ears.
All the extra cuts can be used for more cards, in the opposite colours.
I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right of each 5" white topper. I always do this before assembling the card, as I've spoiled many cards in the past by putting the sentiment on last, and smudging the ink etc.
I added double-sided foam tape to the back of the topper, and adhered it to the corresponding coloured 'mat'
All I had to do then was attach the elephant images, assembling the ears with the contrast cuts. I mounted the complete topper onto the white, blue then base card made from white linen card stock.
I added a few dots of Ranger Liquid Pearls & Ranger Stickles to complete. This must be done at the end, as it takes a while to dry.
I finished the pink card in exactly the same way.
Which one do you like best??
Back soon, with some Christmas cards....well, it is August, after all ;-)
Catch you soon,
Barbara x
