Batch Making Christmas Cards

Hi Everyone,

Nicole here to share a quick look at how I batch make Christmas cards. I usually start with a design idea I find is simple but pretty, and works well. I make sure there are not too many elements in it also. I then decide how many of them I want to make. I tend not to make in large batches so as to keep my cards fairly unique, so I usually go for batches of 4-6 cards. The supplies I used to make these cards are:

• Papermilldirect Christmas Red card
• Papermilldirect Dark Green card
• Papermilldirect Special Offer Silver Sparkle card
• Woodgrain patterned paper
• Christmas tree SVG cut file

I start out by cutting all of my elements, focusing on one colour at a time. I cut green layering panels, woodgrain panels to go over the top of these, red banner shaped strips. I then Used my Silhouette to cut a banner shape with a Christmas tree in the middle (I made this myself). I cut this from the silver sparkle card. I lay all my elements out into their card groupings as you can see in the bottom left of this image, once I am finished preparing everything.

Because I wanted a green Christmas tree I cut a small square for behind the tree cut out. I stuck this down with glossy accents. Any strong glue will do, just make sure it doesn't bleed through!

Once that bit of assembly was done it was a case of layering eveything together to get the position and stamping the sentiment. I decided to add the silver banner on foam tape for some dimension.
