Hi bloggers, Barbara here with another batch of Christmas card to show, using a new set of stamps from Paperartsy.
To start, I cut a few pieces of smooth black card, with a large square die, from Spellbinders
Next steps were to splash white acrylic paint over the card to resemble snow, then stamp the image and heat emboss in white, on every piece.
I then stamped the main image again on scrap white card, coloured them with pens and 'fussy cut' the images out. At this stage I also stamped the sentiments and a few little holly leaves.
The cut-out images were mounted on top of the corresponding image on the main topper. This was then matt onto various colours of sparkle & metallic card from Papermilldirect.
The last steps were to mount the topper onto a base card made with white 'hopsack' textured card, then add some interest with Ranger, Enamel Accents in various colours. I also adhered the sentiment and holly leaves at this stage.
The small 'starry' image which runs across the top of the card had to be coloured in white ink first, before adding the colour.
I have to say that by now I had almost lost the will to live, as there was quite a few steps to these cards. I certainly won't be doing them in such detail next time.
Hope you like them, though,
Back soon (with something much easier)
Barbara.
Here are the products I used on these cards .......
